Youth Ministry

St. Mary's Youth Ministry is dedicated to helping youth in grades 6-12 to encounter Christ and to become active and faith-filled members of His Body, the Church!

We have two main groups, one for those in Middle School (Grades 6-8) and one for those in High School (Grades 9-12).  This year brings some changes, including a new youth minister, so programming will be announced when it is figured out!

To register for Youth Group, please contact our Youth Minister, Melissa Solano. For more information, including our calendar, please visit our youth website!

We are always in need of more adult volunteers!  Training is provided.  All that is necessary is a love for Christ and His Church and a strong desire to help teens grow closer to Christ!

Middle or High School Core Team volunteers assist the youth minister in leading the weekly youth group meetings, as well as occasional retreats and other events.  This may include leading small groups.  This is where you can make the biggest difference in the life of a teen!  A strong team is important for a strong youth program.

Program leaders/facilitators: The youth minister can’t do everything personally- to have events like a weekly or biweekly youth Bible study, a young men’s and young women’s group, a young adults group, etc., requires other parishioners to step up and help lead.  Our youth minister is glad to organize everything for you, if you want.  If you have an idea of some sort of program for the youth of the parish, bring it to the youth minister!  Let’s make things happen!

Chaperones provide adult supervision during retreats, lock-ins, and youth events away from the parish.

Youth Hospitality sign-up to periodically provide snacks for high school or middle school youth group, or help with meals on retreats.

Prayer team agrees to be the support of all the youth ministry programs through prayer for the work being done for the youth, as well as prayer for the youth themselves and their needs.
